Once more I'm in the final stretch of one of my more simple animations, as i have only the birth left to do. This one's much simpler than what i usually do, but hopefully its gimmicks will help make up for that somewhat.

A socially inept young man. Oh and by the way, I don't do requests for animations, as if that wasn't obvious already.

Hey Barn. I need to bring up something that's been bothering me lately, I think you should try some more slender bodies, as opposed to hourglass figures all the time for your ladies.
Barn-flakes Featured By Owner 1 hour ago  Hobbyist General Artist Funny you should come along right after I find myself in the mood to try and draw Ebon again (I almost accidentally called her Flare). Does this fit the bill somewhat?

For the record, I do have to agree with that. It's just so easy to get carried away.

Just need too thin her a bit in the back... And dah booty. Her kinds unborn is small in comparison to the mother, so, the mother changes very little in figure, asside from the belly.

Hey Barn Flakes, I wanted to ask you. How do you get your animations to display as a "larger screen". I've been having difficulties with that forever, and I just realized yours are usually more blown up than that.

Anyway, if there's some trick in flash please let me know.

Much obliged.

You're going to feel a little bit dumb when I tell you this, because it's one of the very most basic things in flash. Then again, I don't know exactly how to do it with the version of flash you may be using.

Click anywhere that's not an instance in the flash window (as in, on the animation area, but not on any actual animated parts) while the "properties" tab is open. There should be an option somewhere called "size" which will give you the option to change the "size" or resolution of your flash window. I usually use 800X600 pixels (px) and I don't recommend you use more than 1200 px because once you start getting bigger than that, some users wont be able to fit the entire game in their browsing space.

You can also do this by selecting "modify" from the menu bar, and selecting "document" from that. My version of flash even gives me the shortcut "ctrl + J"

Pah, yeah I actually figured it out upon finding a 3 min youtube tutorial on it (15 forum searches later).

I find it irritating that you have to increase the size of the entire stage to get a larger viewing window, when the exact same effect could be accomplished using the zoom; however, I can't very well tell everyone who watches "make sure to zoom in first" that probably wouldn't work at all.

Anyway, thanks for the answer. I feel silly at just how basic that was, but I figured there would be more to it than that. I suppose I'll have to adjust to using a larger stage so that my viewing window isn't so tiny when people watch. Pah.

Thanks again Barn Flakes.

Also... today is my birthday.

Exactly the same effect? I think your deluding yourself there. In my opinion; it doesn't even begin to compare. Asking your audience to zoom in is more like asking them to watch the vid through a toilet paper tube. I reckon this is one of those things that becomes much more appealing once you get used to it, and to further benefit, you only really have to do it once per flash.

Well, happy birthday to you. Sorry I don't have anything really special to give to you.

Hey. I just gotta say (I think this is the first time I have ever posted on this site in the billion years that I have had an account) that your work is wonderful. It's tasteful, the puzzles are great, and all of your dialogue is really, really sweet and touching. This is exactly what I have been looking for in terms of pregnancy content and I look forward to watching your work for what I hope is many years to come.

Sorry to leave you hanging. I never quite know how to respond to a comment like that straight away, and keep putting it off until it's quite old.

Just know that I find it very moving. Though whether or not my work is "tasteful" really depends on perspective, to say the least. I suppose it could be a lot less tasteful for what it is. I guess I just like "cute".

So, in the same vein, I hope I see you around to comment in the future. But if you prefer not to, that's fine as well. I definitely understand how difficult it can be to approach someone.
